Full Bio: Haftu Tasew Reda is a seasoned cybersecurity professional with over 14 years of experience working across academic institutions and the industry. His major areas of expertise are network security, critical infrastructure security, and multidisciplinary cybersecurity research.

He most recently served as a Research Fellow in Cybersecurity at Deakin University's School of IT, where he oversaw research projects on continuous authentication technologies and critical infrastructure protection.

Throughout his academic and professional career, Haftu has contributed to curriculum development, worked as a sessional lecturer for both undergraduate and postgraduate cybersecurity courses, and mentored rising professionals in the field.

His prior roles in the industry include Graduate Research Assistant, R&D RF Hardware Engineer, and Radio Access Network Engineer—equipping him with a wide-ranging technical foundation and an in-depth understanding of cybersecurity systems.
